Seguindo pela GR45 - a Grande Rota do Vale do Côa, “Os Últimos” percorre lugares que hoje são ruínas, fala de actividades que se extinguiram ou estão em vias de desaparecer e de tradições que são apenas memórias entre os mais velhos. Contam-se histórias de linces, contrabandistas, moinhos de água, fornos comunitários e tantas outras, à boleia da corrente do rio, entre páginas coloridas com aguarelas de Ana Gil.

Going through the GR45 of the Côa Valley, “The Last Ones” cross places that are now in ruins, speaks of activities that have gone extinct or are on the verge of disappearing, and traditions that lie in the dust of time, preserved only in the memories of old people. The book tells stories of lynxes, smugglers, town mills, community ovens, and so many others that unfold as the river flows, between the watercolours by Ana Gil.
